As we all know Ronnie Buss has more than a passion for catching carp, his fishing passion has seen him in more recent years leave the love of home shores in his thirst for fishing and has spent many good times throughout Europe, fishing many lakes and large river systems for previously uncaught monster commons. Ron is joined by some of his superstar of fishing friends. Ron’s youngest son Stephen is fastly becoming a famous fisherman in his own right. His fishing achievements set the world of fishing on fire after guiding the largest haul of specimen catfish to date including a new Spanish Record Wels Catfish on his first weeks guiding under our companies colours. Since then he has moved up a gear through conscious effort has left the competition sometimes combined and still behind statistic wise.
With 264 catfish over 150lb guided since 2005 making interesting diary reading with 126 of these fish being over 175lb with 7 other different 200lb catfish to the rods. Personal catches of 4 over 190 to 194lbs, he has also guided over 30 different Wels albinos with near two dozen of those fish breaking the 100lb barrier, personally catching two over 120lbs, all on a new rig he developed.
Stephen has guided over 1000 carp over 20lbs and personally caught a comprehensive 306 carp to date from the river over 30lb to ounces shy of mid 50lb. Writing of thirty 30’s in thirty nights does not account for 20lb + barbel, 200lb+ Alligator Gar, un-weighable saltwater specimens also to his name. With the last 5 years fishing nearly written to form a book including agreed guest chapters in addition to being a registered IGFA guide and an official weigh station for the River Ebro he is a welcome addition to our team.
